Lester William Polsfuss, known as Les Paul died of complications from pneumonia at White Plains Hospital in White Plains, New York. Les was a pioneer in the development of the solid-body electric guitar which "made the sound of rock and roll possible." His many recording innovations included overdubbing (also known as sound on sound), delay effects such as tape delay, phasing effects, and multitrack recording. Les Paul has released more than 40 albums starting in 1944 with Feedback and last year released Les Paul and Friends: A Tribute to a Legend. Paul was the godfather of rock guitarist Steve Miller of the Steve Miller Band, to whom Paul gave his first guitar lesson. With genres collaborating with genres I felt I had to give you a little history lesson before you can actually claim the "rockstar" title. Rest in Paradise Les the entertainment has truly lost one of their greats. Peep this, Gibson a company that manufactures guitars have a model named after the creator/innovator/inventor.
